Furlough Training is an optional module to help you manage your furlough training.
You will need to set up the furlough training role for any furloughed Employees
On activation, You will have a new area at your site, called ‘Furlough Training’
Any training hours that your business will be claiming through CJRS submissions, should be entered onto the rota in this area
Furlough training hours will show as 0-cost on the rota page unless a top-up is required which would show under the SP area.
Why is this important?
The correct imputing of hours gives you the correct outputs. These include the amounts you need to pay the employee, the amounts you can claim and also ensuring the holiday position of that employee remains accurate. Without recording these hours all this information would need to be manually calculated for each employee causing errors and costly administration.
The system will also be able to work out if any NLW tops ups are required based on the hours training.
Example: an employee who is on NLW and furlough pot is 10 hours a week. If they are on standard 80% furlough and do 1 hour of training because the furlough monies being received will cover the NLW/NMW there is no need to top up however you can if you wish by adding into the SP column. However, if the hours spent training and furlough amounts do not reach the NLW then the system will add top-up values in the SP column
