The S4 Manage app can be used to schedule, adjust and update the rota and corresponding shifts.
How to add a shift on S4 Manage
- Navigate to the Rota menu option across the bottom bar
- Select the week you wish to add a shift to
- Select the day of the week to add a shift to
- Select the add button to access the Add Employee Shift screen
- Enter the details of the shift including the area, position, employee start and end times
- Select add shift
How to edit a shift on S4 Manage
- Navigate to the Rota menu option across the bottom bar
- Select the week and day of the shift you wish to edit
- Click on the shift and edit the start and end times
- Click save
How to delete a shift on S4 Manage
- Navigate to the Rota menu option across the bottom bar
- Select the week and day of the shift you wish to delete
- Click on the shift and and then the edit icon
- Select delete to delete the shift
Why Use the Rota function in S4 Manage?
Being able to adjust the rota from a mobile device allows managers to adjust shifts and schedules on the go. This can be useful for small edits as new information develops about expectations for a day.

Q: Can I see past rotas?
A: Yes, you can access past rotas. Use the calendar icon to select the date you wish to see.
Q: How many weeks in the future I can see?
A: You will be able to see as far out in the future as the rota is published and add shifts as far out as you wish
Q: How do I set up a split shift?
A: To add a split shift, add as two individual shifts with the first as the first half of the shift and the second post the break. This will show as two shifts for the individual on the day.
