Shift 4 Grabs in the S4 Connect app lets employees take an active role in managing their shifts. You can claim vacant shifts posted by Managers or offer your own assigned shifts for others to pick up. All changes require Manager approval, ensuring the rota stays accurate and fair.
With Multi-Site enabled, you can view and claim eligible vacant shifts at your home site and other selected sites within your organisation, giving you more flexibility and opportunities.

How to Use Shift 4 Grabs in S4 Connect
Grabbing a Shift
Open the S4 Connect app.
Tap 'Rota' in the bottom menu bar.
Tap the Shift 4 Grabs tab to view available shifts.
Select a date to browse available shifts.
View 'Shifts at your site' and 'Shifts at other sites'
Tap a shift to view details.
Tab 'Grab' to request the shift.
Wait for Manager approval. You’ll receive a notification once your request is approved or declined.
Offering a Shift (from home site)
Tap 'Rota' in the bottom menu bar.
Tap on a shift under the 'schedule' tab
Select Offer to make it available to others colleagues.
The shift will be marked as offered until a manager approves a transfer.
You’ll be notified once the manager approves or declines the offer.
Reviewing Shift Requests
You can check the status of your offered or grabbed shifts in the app.
A notification will appear when a manager has approved or declined your request.
Your rota will update automatically if the shift you are grabbing is approved.
