Overview
When enabled for your organisation, this feature ensures employees can only request up to their contracted annual holiday entitlement (including any brought-forward days). It helps prevent staff from booking more days off than they are entitled to, regardless of their run rate.
How It Works
Entitlement Source
Pulls each employee’s annual holiday entitlement directly from their profile.
Includes any carried-forward days from the previous year if any has been added.
In-year entitlement will also adjust if the employee has started part-way through the current holiday year. Their total entitlement will adjust based on the months remaining in the year, i.e. A new-starter with 28-day total annual entitlement joins the business 6 months in to the holiday year, the system will use 14 days as their in-year entitlement.
Request Limits
Employees may only request days up to and including their full contracted entitlement for the year.
If they try to book more, the system blocks the request.
Cross-Year Bookings
If a requested period spans two holiday years, employees must submit two separate requests—one for each year.
Managers do not need to take any extra action; this is simply an FYI for employee enquiries.
